Our mission is to cultivate and develop yoga teachers educated in the deeper traditions of yoga with an interdisciplinary approach that transforms individuals and communities through the light of yoga. We stand for involution and balance.
It is important to understand the Dharma House IIYS objectives, as they contain a strong inner work component. Each of these objectives is first developed in you and from that point you are able to bring them to your future students and clients. It is through direct experience that we transform ourselves and become equipped to guide and teach others. Our programs guide you to:
Have the knowledge of anatomy, proper alignment, and breath, to read physical and emotional limitations in the mind-body in order to gain understanding and serve others safely.
Learn the skills needed to teach all levels of yoga and yoga lifestyle practices with equanimity through heartfelt teachings that create a total mind-body experience, using clear concise verbal cues and directions that allow students and clients to fully engage in their practice.
Understand the ancient yogic texts and the deeper practices of yoga to build awareness, deepen personal practice and become anchored in the yogic path by illuminating the inner nature with divinity and yogic wisdom.
Become a shining light in the yoga community through exemplary ethics and public service.
IN THE SPIRIT OF DIVINITY AND ACCESSIBILITY WE ACCEPT ALL SINCERE STUDENTS OF YOGA INTO OUR TRAINING PROGRAMS REGARDLESS OF PRIOR YOGA EXPERIENCE OR PERCEIVED LIMITATIONS. WE SUPPORT A CULTURALLY SENSITIVE AND GENDER SENSITIVE ENVIRONMENT THAT PROTECTS PERSONAL BOUNDARIES
With authority and confidence, we humbly share the healing practices of yoga for self development and soul expansion with all whom we meet along the path. We rest and abide in this Dharma.
Individuals seeking enrollment into the Dharma House IIYS program must submit an registration and pay an $200 registration fee (in the next screen).
