Dharana Shakti (Christy Harris)

Dharana Shakti, C-IAYT, AYS, E-RYT 500, YACEP, practices and teaches yoga and Ayurveda with great love and sincerity from her small goat farm in Kansas. She desires to teach these self-healing practices in a way that is easily obtainable for everyone.

She has studied with Renée DeTar since 2016 and, as a graduate of IIYS,  is a certified yoga therapist with the International Association of Yoga Therapists, Certified Ayurveda Specialist with the Himalayan Institute, and Certified Archetypal Consultant with the CMED Institute. She earned her Level 3 CPD Award in Animal Assisted Therapy, and also holds a Certificate in Therapeutic Art. She continues her studies of yoga, Tantra and Kriya with Swami Premajyoti and studies Ayurveda with Dr. David Frawley.

Dharana Shakti is the Director and lead teacher of the IIYS  RYS 300 training program. She is a co-founder and lead trainer of the Dharma House School of Yoga, RYS 200. Dharana Shakti guides and supports her students with humor and compassion. She combines her knowledge of Ayurveda and yoga with the Vedic view of the archetype, Purvaja, which follows the evolution of consciousness, to identify disruptive patterns in the body, mind and psyche that contribute to presenting symptoms in daily life.

Dharana Shakti enjoys preserving the beauty and integrity found in the artistry of living close to the earth, growing food, working with herbs, creating natural products and caring for her beloved goats.
